The "What is a Canepa?" score is one of the most interesting and rewarding musical experiences I've ever had! It was created by mostly amateur filmmakers through Christopher Coppolla's PAH Fest. The idea behind PAH Fest is to give everyday people the tools to create their own short films, in this case Chicago events coordinator and personality Jane Canepa. The catch is the entire filmmaking process happens in a 7 day period. Because of last minute editing, I didn't receive a finished cut of the film until 6pm on Friday, and the film was due the next morning! That makes this one of the fastest scored films I've ever worked on- effectively the film was scored between 9pm on a Friday and 8am on Saturday! In spite of that (or maybe because of that) I feel this music is some of my best work. Enjoy! Check out pahnation.com and dancingcanepas.com for more info.
